Eva Compisi: Teacher

Eva is starting her fifth year on staff at Cherry Preschool. Currently she is a teacher in the Pre-K Blue Room. Her first year working at Cherry was as an Inclusion Aide in the Transition Two’s Rose Room. Following that, she taught Transition Two’s in the Rose Room and 3 Day Three’s and Young 3’s in the Yellow Room. Eva graduated from the University of Dayton with her BS in Middle Childhood Math and Science Education. After college, Eva taught outdoor and experiential education in San Diego, as well as worked at a wilderness therapy program in Utah and taught middle school life science on Long Island. She and her family have now found a wonderful sense of community in Evanston, as well as at Cherry Preschool. Both of Eva’s kids loved being at Cherry and now attend Washington Elementary. When she is not making puppets and singing in the Blue Room, Eva enjoys camping with her family, hiking in the mountains, and growing vegetables in her garden.
