Ready, Set, Go!

 
Taught by Sarah Schoonyoung, who holds degrees in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education, the Ready, Set, Go! program will prepare students for kindergarten through a play-based curriculum, implementing kindergarten state standards, focused on literacy, math, and science.  Children bring a lunch from home.  Local artists/educators in art, theater and dance will collaborate with students weekly integrating literacy and math into performance and movement.

Learning Through The Arts

                                                                                                                                                                                                  Taught by Annie Sutula, who holds a BFA in Visual Arts and Art Education, the Learning Through The Arts program will help develop a student’s creative side with an arts-based curriculum. Children bring a lunch from home. Collaborating with several Evanston arts programs, Cherry will bring local artists into the classroom once a week for music, dance and theater.

Music & More Afternoons with Creative Kids Corner

Led by Linda Kusel – Cherry’s Music Instructor (CKC Director) and her staff.

Children will use play and a variety of art forms to nurture and develop their innate creativity. Each day is a new adventure that features revolving activities including music & movement, multi-media art, group games, language arts and more, including some sign language & Spanish.

Registration is open to all children aged 3 to 6
