Warren W. Cherry Preschool is an independent, parent-governed, not-for-profit, non-sectarian preschool open to all children in our community. The school admits students of any race, color and national or ethnic origin, and does not discriminate in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, financial aid program, or other school administered programs. Cherry Preschool exists without the sponsorship of a larger institution, thus enjoying independence, stability, and the benefits of being able to focus all its energies on innovative, developmentally appropriate early childhood educational programs. As an independent school, however, there are financial burdens that heighten the role of fundraising to cover the cost of more than the basic program. To provide our children with enriching activities, compensate our staff fairly, and include children with special needs and children who are economically disadvantaged, families are required to volunteer their time and energy in support of the school.
