Rules of the Game
For children who have not had previous preschool group experience without a parent or for children who are new to Cherry Preschool, please contact the Camp Director, Lynn Fiedler, before enrolling. We take this position in the best interest of the children as summer camp may not be a good place to work on separation issues.
We strive to create groupings of children based on friendships and to balance the groupings by age.
Absences for any reason do not reduce tuition. There are no refunds for non-attendance due to vacations or illness.
Families of children with disabilities and/or developmental delays should contact, Lindsey Underway, Child Development and Inclusion Director to determine the appropriateness of the camp program for their child.
Weekly Themes
Week 1 (June 15 – 18) — Down On The Farm
Adventure awaits on the farm! Little farmers will enjoy barnyard-themed movement games, nature-inspired crafts, and hands-on snack making. It’s a wholesome week of exploring animals, plants, and life in the country.
Week 2 (June 22 – 24) — Rainbow & Color Science
A week of vibrant, hands-on exploration! We’ll dive into the world of color through messy art projects, fizzy science experiments, and colorful snacks. This theme is perfect for kids who love to see how things mix, change, and glow.
Week 3 (June 29 – July 2) — Community Helpers
Be a hometown hero! Through role-play and creative games, kids will learn about the people who help keep us safe and healthy. We’ll spend the week building our own gear and exploring different careers through hands-on play.
Week 4 (July 6 – 9) — Dinosaurs & Volcanoes
Travel back in time for a prehistoric adventure! Our junior paleontologists will explore the world of dinosaurs through active “fossil” hunts, volcano-themed science experiments, and messy prehistoric art projects.
Week 5 (July 13-16) — Superhero Academy
Unleash your child’s inner hero! This week focuses on building confidence and strength through “hero training” games, creative costume crafts, and special snacks fit for a superhero. It’s all about discovering our own unique powers!
Week 6 ( July 20 -23) — Construction Zone
Hard hats on for a week of building and creating! This theme is perfect for kids who love to tinker and get their hands dirty. We’ll explore construction through building challenges, messy “site” play, and themed treats.
