Sarah Schoonyoung: Executive Director

With a strong academic background and a passion for early childhood development, Sarah is committed to honoring the legacy of Cherry Preschool and fostering an environment where every child can thrive. Before stepping into the role of Executive Director, Sarah taught Pre-K at Cherry for over a decade. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Saint Louis University and a post-baccalaureate degree in Elementary Education from California State University East Bay. Prior to relocating to Evanston, Sarah spent ten years teaching preschool and elementary school in California and Oregon. She now lives in Evanston with her husband and their two daughters, both proud Cherry alumni.
